Well that's all for the vital statistics. Hmm, born in New Jersey graduated high school in Indiana and now living in Tennessee. So how did I get from New Jersey to Tennessee. Let me explain.

My Dad, Connie A. Price, met my Mom, Denise M. Kimbel, when he was stationed in Fort Monmouth New Jersey. My mom lived in Forest Hills New York (I don't know the details of how they met but I'm glad they did). Shortly after I was born we moved to Bellport on Long Island New York. We spent about 15 years there when my dad decided to leave. So off we went to Indiana.

Stop number one would take us to a small town northeast of Indianapolis, Nobelsville. After about a year we decided to move to southeast Indiana. This is the time of my life that I enjoyed the most. I spent a year at Milan High School and the last three years at Sunman High School (below) where I graduated. This is where I call home and I consider myself a Hoosier. I did not go to College.

Well, Guess what? It's time to move again. After I graduated high school in 1971 we moved to Tennessee. I have been in Tennessee for 30 years.

OH!! You want to know why we settled on Tennessee and what happened between 1971 and 2000? Let me answer the first question. My dad is originally from Tennessee and he wanted to get back home. My mom did not have any relatives in New York. So she said it was OK to leave.

Now what happened from 1971 to 2004? NOTHING!!! Oh no, no, that's not true. Here goes.

I went to work for Procter and Gamble in December 1971 after a few odd jobs. This plant was just starting to make something called Pringles Newfangled Potato Chips. (now called Pringles Potato Crisps) OH, BTW I retired from Procter and Gamble September 3 1998.

In September of 1973 on the 30th, I married my wife, Dottie E. Reed (see dear I remembered the date). We built our home in 1976 after living in a trailer in Jackson Tennessee and Cedar Grove Tennessee. Than came 1979 (December 19th to be exact) when my wife gave birth to our daughter Lorraine April Price, the BEST daughter a parent could have.

My daughter was a High School Marching Band Member and I was quite active in the Band Boosters.

I joined a Star Trek Fan Club in 1994 that was starting a Chapter in Jackson Tennessee. The person that was starting the club was friend of mine. She, Carolyn Pate, was very instrumental in forming the chapter, which is known as the USS Providence. I also joined the International Star Trek Fan Association - STARFLEET. I was voted in as the Commanding Officer after Carolyn stepped down. She is still with us and I owe her a lot for getting me involved. For more information visit the USS Providence web site above.

Also in 1994 I got involved in a Community Center in Cedar Grove. The Westview T.L.C. Community Center. New officers were elected and I become the new President as of July 1, 1997. I resigned in July 2000 and I am on the Board of Directors. That didn't last long and I have been elected as President in 2002

In October of 1998 I joined the Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department. In Augest 1999 I took 57 hours of instruction in Basic Firefighting. I also, in October 1999, completed 22 hours of instruction in Live Firefighting at the Tennessee State Fire School.

In October of 1999, I joined the Carroll County Humane Society. I was elected to the Board of Directors in 2002 which ran for 2 years. I didn't want to serve another term so I turned down the nomination. I foster out 14 dogs at a location behind the Community Center which I call Wesrview Animal Sanctuary.

In February 2003 I joined a Church that was getting starting here in Cedar Grove. The name is Life Springs Church. I am the web master of the web site and I am on The Board of Directors.

LIST OF THINGS THAT INTEREST ME

  1. Star Trek
  2. Watching Sports
  3. Gardening
  4. Videography
  5. Sci fi Movies

My top 5 Sports

  1. Nascar Racing
  2. Tennessee Football
  3. Diamond Jaxx Baseball
  4. Atlanta Braves Baseball
  5. NCAA Basketball

NASCAR RACING - I got interested in this sport in 1991. At that time I liked a driver by the name of Davey Allison. After Davey died in a helicopter accident, I went looking for another driver to follow. So in 1993 I decided to follow a driver that would be the highest rookie in the points standing. That driver was Jeff Gordon and he won the 1993 Rookie of the Year. I have his Rookie of the Year plaque on my wall. I was delighted to see Jeff win the Championship in 1995 and almost won it in 1996. I think Jeff will become one of the all time great drivers.

TENNESSEE FOOTBALL - I have been a Tennessee football fan since I moved to Tennessee. The generally have a good football team every year and I hope they can win a National Title soon.

WEST TENN DIAMOND JAXX - A double A baseball team that came to Jackson from Memphis that are affiliate with the Chicago Cubs. A new baseball park was built in Jackson in 1997 and the D-Jaxx played in 1998.

WAS ATLANTA BRAVES BASE BALL NOW CHICAGO CUBS - I have been a Braves fan since 1982 with players like Dale Murphy, Bob Horner, and Phil Nekro. Now they are the team of the nineties, although they have only won one World Series.

Now that the Diamond Jaxx are our double A baseball team and are affilaited with Chicago, I am following them.

NCAA BASKETBALL - The Road to the Final Four, what a great time for College basketball. March Madness!!!

SCI FI MOVIES - Besides all the Star Trek Movies I like all the Alien Movies. There are two H.G.Wells movies that rank second to the Star Trek Movies and they are 1) The War of the Worlds and 2) The Time Machine. If you haven't seen either one of them I highly recommend them.

OTHER MOVIES - Movies that have to do with Knights in Shining Armor such as First Knight, Braveheart and anything with King Arthur, Robin Hood, etc.
